**Observer’s Inn Sky Tours:  An experiences astronomer lead you through tours of Planets, Galaxies, Star Clusters, & the moon from unique mountain observatory, Reservations Required, $25 per person; also offering “Solar Tours” of our closest planet, the sun.  760-765-0088

**Julian Tea & Cottage Arts: Full line of English bone china as well as porcelain, ceramic, cast iron, stainless and glass teapots, and tea accoutrements. **Julian Backcountry Wine Tours & Desert Excursions:  Sit back and Enjoy the views and tastes of local Julian Wineries aboard a unique, open air excursion vehicle.  Includes an afternoon of tasting, gourmet, open-fire BBQ on vineyard grounds, and souvenir wine glass. reservations required, 760-767-1232

Eagle & High Peak Mine:  Tour original Gold Mine, thru intricate Paths & Tunnels, Authentic working equipment, Tours Daily, 10:00-12:30pm, except Christmas.  $10 per person, $5 per child under 12.

Pioneer Museum:  Turn of the century collection of clothing, photographs, household & mining equipment, Dec.-Mar, Friday-Sunday, April-November, closed Mondays, $3 donation requested.

Julian Mining Company:  Discover gold & minerals using gold pans, sluice box and “rockers”.  Hayrides, U-Press cider, gift soft, raspberry picking and pumpkin patch in fall, Wynola area, 909-499-1611

Lake Cuyamaca Recreation Area & Fletcher Island:  Picturesque lake surrounded by mountains, over 40,000 stocked rainbow trout, bass, channel cat, bluegill, crappie & sturgeon.  Motorboats, rowboats, and peddle boats available for rent.  Bait, tackle & poles also available, open seven days a week, except December & January, closed all day Wednesday & Sundays until noon. Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant offers on the lake dining as well.

Open Space Preserves, State and County Parks:  Julian offers a number of hiking and biking trails in the surrounding areas, some of our favorites to include Volcan Mountain Open Space, Santa Ysabel East Open Space, William Heise County Park and Cuyamaca State Park, of which includes fantastic climbs to the top of Stonewall Peak and Cuyamaca Peak.  Anza Borrego Desert State Park is within a 45 minute drive and includes exploration of Galleta Meadows Sculptor Gardens, Palm Canyon Visitors Center and Hike, Font’s Point Look Out over the Badlands of Borrego!

Sky Sailing at Warner Springs:  Get a bird’s eye view of the mountains and valleys surrounding the town of Julian, glider trips with licensed & experienced pilots, rides start at $39 per person, 7 days a week. 760-782-0404
